Gender Pay Gap
Gender Pay Gap Reporting 2024
Our workers are largely seasonal and so many of our workers employed at the snapshot date had only been employed since early 2024 (so two or three months to the snapshot date). Some male supervisors however had been employed for much of the last year so had more opportunity to accumulate higher bonuses over an annual period. The few large bonuses accumulated by male supervisors over the annual period have increased the mean of the male bonus pay in comparison to female bonus pay. Female median bonus pay however is higher due to the higher number of female pickers who have earnt asparagus picking bonus in early 2024.
The distribution of male/female in each quartile is a reflection of the total number of male/female workers, with the exception of the Lower Quartile where the proportion of male workers is much higher due to more female employees earning asparagus picking bonus.
